Ultimate Reset Phase 1: Day – 1 Just getting started

It’s Sunday morning and I woke up feeling tired, cranky and unmotivated. I didn’t sleep well, I have a headache, and it’s cold and rainy outside. The Ultimate Reset has a lot of meal prepping for the week. I’m not sure I will get it all done today.

Breakfast was YUMMY!!

It’s about 8:30am. Mom and I just drank our first 36 ounces of distilled water and our 2 Optimize Capsules. The water is a little shocking at first. It tastes like bitter seawater. Maybe some distilled water ice cubes or lemon will help the taste. I’m sure I will be used to it in a couple of days. I wonder what my regular poland spring bottled water will taste like after this is all over. What if I hate it?

Breakfast was YUMMY!! I had the option to make eggs and toast but that’s my usual go to so, I decided to try something different. The reset book had an option to make Coconut Quinoa. I can’t wait to have this again. This will be a new staple for sure. It’s Quinoa with coconut milk, maple syrup, apples and walnuts. Chris, Mom and I didn’t want it to end. It was so full of flavor.

So far my day is going pretty well. Decided to take a break from the kitchen and I took a ride to Starbucks with Chris. I’m surprised I didn’t have any cravings for a blueberry scone or my unsweetened green iced tea. I even brought my distilled water with me and my two other Optimize capsules. The ice cubes do make it a little better but still tastes kinda bitter.

Our lunch was pretty tasty.

The Ultimate Reset book has a bunch of salad dressing recipes. I decided to make the Creamy Garlic Dressing and it was the perfect choice. It’s smells and tastes delicious. I also toasted pumpkin seeds and pine nuts. The house smells heavenly. Our lunch was pretty tasty. I really enjoyed the salad but wasn’t a fan of the Miso Soup. Chris on the other hand LOVED it. He even ate the rest of mine. From now on I will be having organic veggie soup on the miso soup days.

Power Greens… Yum!

I wish I would of had Chris video Mom and I drinking our first Alkaline aka Power Greens. My first thoughts were umm….are we dying Easter eggs. It’s a thick muddy green and it smells like fresh cut grass. Mom and I were laughing and having fun but looking at each other like you go first, no you go first. We sucked on lemons before and after like we were doing a big shot of tequila. We both made yuck faces, high five’d and got it down. I told mom, I wish her and I could drink this together every day. I’m not sure how I will do drinking this at work Monday-Friday alone.

It’s about 5 o’clock and ever since we drank the Power Greens I have a slight tummy ache. And little discomfort on my left side. I’m also starting to feel a bit achy and tired. Mom said she has a headache and is tired as well. We both just finished taking our last 2 Optimize capsules for the day along with 2 soothe capsules. I’m about to prep more food for tomorrow and make dinner for tonight. I’m tired of being in the kitchen all day, but I keep looking at my bracelet and reminding myself why I am doing this.

Tonight’s dinner was supposed to be Salmon, since I am a vegetarian I decided to make eggs instead. I am so happy I did. It might be all in my head but the distilled water made the eggs so fluffy and creamy for some reason. The salmon recipe called for a nice marinade with fresh parsley, olive oil, fresh garlic and lemon. I decided to make it for the potatoes. Yum! Again, it was a lot of food for me so Chris ate some of my potatoes and mom had the rest of my asparagus. I’ve decided to do more prepping tomorrow night when I get home from work. It’s been a long day and I want to spend some more time with Chris before he goes home.

It’s about 9pm and I am finally relaxing for the day. Chris went home about an hour ago and I am already missing him. My body is tired and achy so I decided to take a nice hot shower and drink the rest of my water for the night. My food is all prepped and packed for tomorrow. It’s seems like so much food, my lunch bag is overflowing. I have also set alarms on my phone to help me stay on track with my water, supplements and food during my busy work schedule. I have a tendency to get into a zone and lose track of time. Well I am off to bed…I have a feeling I’m going to sleep like a baby tonight. Good night all.
