Ultimate Reset Phase 1: Day – 2

No more brain fog, no more pressure, no headaches.

I woke up this morning feeling a little tired. I was so comfy in my bed and wanted to sleep all day.  As, I was dragging myself down the hallway to the kitchen for my 36 ounces of distilled mineralized water, I realized it was foggy and rainy outside.  My initial thought was blah what a crappy Monday and I need to hustle because there is going to be tons of traffic.

Foggy morning.

While I was running around getting ready for work, I realized my sense of smell was a lot stronger than usual.  I really didn’t pay much attention to it until  I was driving.  I realized, I could breathe through my nose and I didn’t have a huge pounding sinus headache from this dreadful weather.  As most of you know I have been fighting a sinus infection for months.  Even with taking an antibiotic I was still waking up daily with congestion, headaches and pressure.

Today, nothing, nada, it’s all gone. No more brain fog, no more pressure, no headaches.  Could this be from the Ultimate Reset?  I hope so! I’m so beyond happy because my head hasn’t felt this great in MONTHS!

I’m blown away by all the messages of support and excitement for my journey during my ultimate reset. I’ve been worried, I won’t get through these next 20 days but now that I have so many people cheering for me…I know I can do this!  Thank you everyone for the kind words and most of all for caring.

Breakfast:

A bunch of my favorite treats were sitting in my work café calling my name while I was heating up my oatmeal for breakfast. I stood there staring at these boxes for a few seconds, day dreaming about my childhood and eating these yummy treats with my grandmother.  As I snapped out of it, I kept repeating willpower, willpower in my head as the microwave was counting down the 60 seconds that felt like an eternity.  I couldn’t wait to run out of the kitchen! I’m please to say my breakfast was actually really tasty.  Rolled Oats with shredded unsweetened coconut, strawberries and blueberries.  Very filling and yummy.  Thank you willpower!

Coconut macaroons, chocolate covered marshmallow twists, matzo.
Very tempting!

Lunch:

It’s just about noon and I am feeling very sore sitting at my desk while working.  Being sore and achy is normal reaction to the detox process. Beachbody recommends an Epsom salt bath, a heating pad and some essential oils. I am going to try the oils and heating pad first since I am not a fan of baths at all.  The aches and pains  will have to be really bad for me to go there.  We shall see.

I’ve also been drinking my life away since yesterday and I feel very bloated, like I am retaining all of this water I am consuming.  I plan to go for a twenty minute walk tonight if it’s not raining or even some yoga to get in a little exercise.  I am feeling full and satisfied from my lunch but I am dreading 3 O’clock when it’s time to drink my Alkaline.  Fingers crossed no tummy pains from it today.

Blech! I still don’t like the Alkaline Power Greens… but so far no belly pains.  I do still feel like a bloated skunk and I’m very achy.  I can’t wait to take a  hot shower tonight.

Dinner:

I had a boat load of energy when I got home from work tonight.  This never happens!!  I am usually so beat from my commute, all I want to do is put on comfy clothes and relax. I spent most of the night making dinner and meal prepping for tomorrow. I think it takes a lot more time since I am prepping for two people. While standing in the kitchen, I got this severe foot cramp. I tried to walk it off but it wouldn’t go away.  I had to sit down and rub my foot and toes for a bit.  The pain lasted about 10/15 minutes and then poof…gone!  Dinner was beyond Awesome and worth the work.  I posted it on FB and a bunch of people asked for the recipe.
