Ultimate Reset Phase 1: Day – 6


I feel like a walking zombie.

Tired! So tired!  Man, it took a lot to get out of bed this morning.  I feel like a walking zombie. While I was waiting for the water to boil for my decaf vanilla chai tea, I decided to pour myself a big glass of distilled water.  I ended up pouring the ice cold water into my tea cup with the tea bag in it.  I’m so sleepy that it took me a few seconds to even realize what I was doing.

My allergies are bothering me, my eyes are puffy and a little red. Probably didn’t help that I poked myself in the eye while applying my mascara.  It’s been raining for six days now and supposedly it is going to continue through the weekend.  I was hoping Chris and I could go for a nice hike. Maybe I will have to drag him to the mall instead. Perfect excuse to go shopping or even maybe see a movie. I don’t care how we spend our weekend, I’m just super happy it is finally Friday!  I am praying my day goes fast with no stress.

I have enjoyed every meal so far but this one.

Every Friday at work is bagel day.  I usually don’t eat them but today I could really go for one.  My breakfast was not appetizing at all! I have enjoyed every meal so far but this one.  I had a feeling I wasn’t going to like it but I told myself I would give it a try.  I’m a vegetarian but Tempeh is just not for me.  The taste and texture was too meaty tasting for me.  I ended up eating my mid-day snack of 15 almonds and an apple for breakfast.  I have this chill running through my veins and I can’t seem to get warm but I’m feeling much better than this morning.  I am now awake and energized. I also have no headache, bloating, or aches and pains.

It’s about 3:30 and my body has just crashed. I have a slight headache and I am feeling very tired all of a sudden. I’ve come to realize this keeps happening around the same time everyday.  My body must be missing my afternoon cup of caffeine.  I’m not a big coffee drinker but, I love tea. Especially Dunkin Donuts Unsweetened Ice Tea.  I think my body is missing it more than I am. 

I think what I am missing the most, is having my Shakeology every morning. Shakeology is approved during the Ultimate Reset, I’ve just been making the recommended meals instead.  Maybe I will make one tomorrow for breakfast. 

I am also obsessed with Double Mint gum. I am hoping after these 21 days, I won’t want to chew it as much anymore. I read in my Ultimate Reset guidebook that once gum is in your mouth and you begin to chew, your body thinks food is on the way and immediately begins to produce digestive enzymes, falsely triggering the digestive process.  

I thought the soup was really good.

I’m so happy I’m home, the weekend is here and I get to spend sometime with my family. Tonights meal was Zucchini-Cashew Soup with a side of Roasted Rooted Veggies.

I thought the soup was really good.  Mom and Chris didn’t feel the same.  Mom said it tasted like mush. Chris said it reminded him of prison food and kinda tasted like mashed potatoes.  He thinks maybe I needed to add a little more water, that it was a little too thick.  I followed the recipe but Maybe I made it wrong?!? Everyone in the Ultimate Reset Groups rave about this meal and I highly suggest making it if you decide to do this program.
