Ultimate Reset Phase 3: Day – 15

I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to start my final week of The Ultimate Reset.  I am officially down 7 pounds in two weeks.  I am finally back to the weight I was before all of my partying and indulging of bad foods and alcohol.  I feel so much lighter and my stomach bloat is gone. My clothes are fitting better. The muffin top is gone!  My skin is glowing, my hair is silky and shiny.  I’ve even kicked my double mint gum habit and I haven’t had any cravings for bad foods.

I have been a vegetarian for about three years now and I always said I could never go vegan BUT I’m not sure that’s true anymore.  I thought, I would miss cheese and yogurt too much but I don’t really miss it at all. The only thing I’m just not sure I can give up is eggs. I enjoy making omelets and avocado toast on the weekends for Chris and I.  I’m not sure I am ready to give that up.  I love tofu scramble but I try to only have that when we go to my favorite vegetarian restaurant for Sunday Brunch. I try to stay away from soy as much as possible. I would say I have it maybe once or twice a month. Soy should be eaten in moderation and not on a daily or weekly basis.  There are risk factors of eating too much soy like thyroid issues, higher risk of breast cancer, bloat and inflammation, too much estrogen and lower testosterone levels. These are just a few of the dangers of soy.  If you want to know more about the benefits vs. dangers of soy I would say to Google it. There are many helpful articles out there.

There wasn’t very much food prepping this week for phase three.  I decided to make all three meals for the next seven days the same. I needed to make this week easier for me since mom has been sick and I’ve missed three days of work.  Breakfast will be three cups of fruit salad. Lunch will be a tossed salad with homemade dressing and toasted pumpkin seeds with either a sweet potato or a half of an avocado.  Dinners will be brown rice with Asian mixed veggies.  I bought a new brand of brown rice. It’s a little nuttier and dense. Mom and I really like it.

These past few days have been a little stressful and overwhelming with mom being sick.  I’m feeling great mentally and physically now that she is back home and I got lots of rest.  But, maybe still a little tired. When I was just about finished making my fruit salad for the week, I sliced my finger by mistake. Chris had to take me to the Urgent Care Center. I was so worried I needed stitches but I was lucky and only needed Dermabond.  The doctor was great and the service was super quick. I was worried, I was going to have to sit in the ER all day and waste the day.

My #FitNation fitness team had a small challenge this weekend. We wanted all the coaches to step out of their comfort zones and post a video on their FB pages inviting people to our free four day focus group starting Tuesday May 24th.   I wish, I could share all the videos here for all of you to see.
